The Oracle inspired an earlier experiment in thinking about memory: which experiences should remain close at hand, and which can recede into the background? The fictional character gives us a language for questions, not a scientific model of a brain.
A way to read the idea
A useful notebook does more than accumulate pages. It connects a question to an example, records where an idea came from, and leaves room for correction. Returning to an old note with a new problem can reveal a connection that was not visible when the note was first written.
This is also a practical way to work with AI. Keep the source of a claim, distinguish an observation from an interpretation, and revise an explanation when the evidence changes. A growing collection becomes useful through the care taken in reading and reshaping it.
